Centralized system for the distribution of technical gases
Steelbau, to keep up with the times and to grant consistent quality of their products, since a few months has innovated the internal welding system.
In the production workshop a centralized system of new conception has been installed, to manage and distribute technical gases to all welding and laser cutting departments, needed to operate the different welding and cutting machines.
This choice was planned and arranged in cooperation with trusted suppliers, in order to obtain lower waste of gas and consumption control, to manage industrial costs and to promote a low environmental impact, due to the use and disposal of single gas cylinders.
Centralized distribution of technical gases
Steelbau decided to use a centralized system for the management of technical gases for welding, specifically mixture, argon and nitrogen, for all the different bowls assembly departments and for the internal laser installation.
The idea of this realization came with the goal to ensure more safety for the workers in each workstation, thanks to the presence of a single gas cylinder pack outside the factory, which allows to feed the whole system. Consequently, any loss of time or risk connected to gas cylinder replacement, any critical handling or risk of flame or other safety problems are avoided.
Operational autonomy and consistency for uniform results
Each operator is independent in his activity; special manometers on the wall, one for each welding position, allow to open and close the gas feeding circuit and the production and welding processes are managed in autonomy.
Besides, this system can manage the welding pressure inside the distribution channel automatically: all welding stations are equally supplied and this helps getting uniform welding results both from a technical and aesthetic point of view.
Continuous commitment and improvement
Thanks to commitment by all workers and investments by the management of Steelbau, the works have been planned and performed with a special look to continous improvement of the finished product and care for the safety of the operators, in respect of the security standards and, not last, to contain environmental impact and optimize materials consumpion.
